Kantar Millward Brown, WPP and Google have published the 2018 BrandZ™ Top 50 Chinese Global Brand Builders ranking and report. The report identifies and ranks Chinese brands based on the strength of their brand overseas. It also reveals challenges and opportunities, and provides vital insights and recommendations for Chinese brands going global. Brands across 12 product categories are ranked based on their Brand Power Scores in seven developed markets, including France, Germany, Spain, the UK, the US, Australia, and Japan.
Lenovo Group Ltd leads the ranking followed by Huawei, Alibaba, Xiaomi and Air China to complete the Top 5. Chinese brands are at the forefront of innovation and the leaders are establishing ‘Brand China’ as innovative, cutting-edge and pioneering. Consumer Electronics remains the best performing category. But, China’s insatiable appetite for new technology is fueling growth across many categories – powering innovation at an incredible pace.
